I use to be with one of Limestone Energy's competitor just up the road because they had the tank on the property when I purchase the home. Each heating season I used Limestone's lower price to get the propane company I used at the time to price match. However, one heating season when speaking to the MAIN OFFICE to request a price match, they said no, and then attempted to sell me fear masked as a guarantee. Specifically, they told me they could justify higher prices because they would not run out of propane like other competitors in the area did the year prior. That was my final straw with them after other frustrations with them in previous dealings. I switched over to Limestone and kicked myself for not doing it sooner. Limestone's price has always been lower than anyone's in the area and hassle free. With my old propane company, I always had to come into the office or pay over the phone prior to any delivery unless I let them run a credit check. I was cash paying customer because I could be, not because I had to be, and had no need for them to run my credit, even if it would of made it a bit more convenient for me. Occasionally when calling to order more propane, no one at the local office would pick up, so the phone would transfer to the main office which I disliked because the MAIN office customer service always spoke to me like they were doing me a favor. Speaking with the LOCAL customer service representative was always a better experience, and probably the reason I stuck with them as long as I did.

However, with Limestone I just call for an order and then have 30 days to settle my bill which is really convenient! They do not offer new customer deals or contract price guarantees over the winter, but this is not a big deal to me. Their everyday low prices make it unnecessary to have new customer pricing or contract guarantees. Although I am sure a contract guarantee would have been nice when their was a "shortage" a few years ago with prices going through the roof; I believe that was an anomaly in the market and should not occur again. I have not regretted switching to Limestone Energy and things have been headache free since.
