Absolutely Terrible.

I will never ever ever (EVER) even consider going back to this place. It was absolutely one of the worst trips I have ever booked, and we travel (and camp) frequently.

Rude and incompetent staff. Nothing was what I was told it would be when I called to book our campsite. I went through a list of about 50 questions to make sure I knew what to plan for and almost every single piece of information they gave me over the phone ended up being false.

Our "waterfront site" had NO access to the water, the water in front of the site was absolutely disgusting, and the entire campsite was littered with broken beer bottles. We chose this place based on the waterfront site so you can imagine the disappointment upon arrival. We also brought our dog with us so for the time we were there our family had to split up to swim and fish because someone had to stay behind with the dog at the campsite... the entire reason we wanted access to the water from our site in the first place.

Zackery Smalley (the owner's son) raised his voice at me (in front of my children) and was argumentative about information he initially gave me over the phone that was false. He told me I was causing a scene, as he yelled at me, and asked me to leave the general store and wait outside for a manager.

When his mother "the manager" came to talk to me, she approached me with the line, "Who's the one throwin' a fit?" When she arrived her son also came outside and began attempting to argue with me again. My husband rolled his eyes and this kid was literally in my husband's face wagging his finger telling him, "Don't you look at my ma like that." I am not even kidding. This went on for several minutes while my husband (with the patience of a saint) attempted to calm this kid down because the kid looked like he was about to cry.

The mother/manager also continued to be rude and defend her son's actions up to the point we realized we were arguing with ignorance and not going to get anywhere. Even though we booked 2 nights, we left after 1 and made it home in time to try and salvage what was left of our Labor Day weekend.

The only PRO I can list is that we met some pretty nice people at the campgrounds who were nice enough to give us info on fishing, swimming, etc after we had been misinformed by the staff several times.

There are hundreds of places to camp in Ohio... save yourself the headache and annoyance and choose somewhere else. You will be so thankful you did.
