Pillowwraps Inc. began in August 2009 as a result of the founder (Michael E. Mitchell), having circulation issues in the arms and legs, due to diabetes. In 2009, when these issues began, he started a quest to design a pillow that would allow him to sleep through the night and not wake up with his arms and hands numb from lack of circulation. Through research, he found that millions of people have the same problem whether they have diabetes or not. In layman's terms It is basically, in part, a matter of pressure on the nerves pathways and /or arteries. His mission took him beyond creating a better pillow. He realized that the pillow did not necessarily need improvement. It was in the way it was used that could be improved. In March of 2009, Pillowwraps Inc. was born.
