AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, whether it's Raymond Michell's Boat Sales, Word Wide Boats, or simply Matt Mitchell. Wasted $450 on a boat survey for a boat they either do not have ownership of or do not have paper (although they claim they own everything they sell). After calling with interest, Matt would not meet us, just gave the address where the boat was at. We arrived at what looked like an abandoned business. Looking in the windows, there's an empty desk, a guitar leaning against the wall, some garbage, and that's about it. Boat was very nice & price was in-line with the market. Matt has a very hard time speaking by phone. Would rather text. Finally locked him down for a survey. Boat was moved to a filthy, run-down repair shop staffed by people about as friendly as rattlesnakes. Walked into the office and was overwhelmed by the smell of cat piss. Into the survey, we requested power & water and were barely accommodated. Registration (required to be on vessel) was nowhere to be found. The "sea trial" was a joke. Matt's friend, a mechanic, stated it would be a 10-minute ride with him driving. Boat failed due to a bad water pressure sensor. Matt assured it would be taken care of promptly. Two weeks passed when I started inquiring. Keep in mind, I made it very clear I was a cash buyer with cash in-hand. The last communication I received from Matt was "will contact you ASAP", which was more than a week ago. We've since moved on to another boat, but not before losing nearly a month of summer boating, communication drama, and a strong sense we'll see these guys in the news sooner or later. We've been boating for 15 years, have bought & sold several boats via dealers, private sellers, and brokers. I've never experienced anything like this. DO NOT RECOMMEND WHATSOEVER!
