Joe Brogan has swindled my family out of tens of thousands of dollars. In June 2014 my parents hired him to do a basic renovation to our house: a 25"x 15" two story addition that included three bathrooms, a den, closet and sun room. It is now 18 months later and only half the work has been done. If a skyscraper can go up in 3 months, how can it possibly take a year and a half to do something so basic?

And what HAS been done looks completely shoddy- terrible paint jobs with spatters and spills, tile cut several inches too small and hastily plastered in place, random metal pipes sticking out of holes in the floor, a brand new bathtub that creaks every time you move in it, and best of all, a GIANT mountain of debris in the back yard that we've just been informed he has no plans of clearing. We are literally going to have to carry the construction debris ourselves to the curb (my elderly dad and I) and hire someone for thousands of dollars to remove it.

One of his workers is a heroin addict and stole $400 in cash from my mother's wallet. Joe simply denied it and did nothing.

Joe's method is to take on new projects and use the money to pay off old ones that he has left dragging for years. Literally YEARS. He is now going bankrupt, so he is abandoning my parents project! He stopped paying his workers, so we will have to go through yet another winter exposed to the elements living in freezing temperatures, dust, construction equipment and debris, with people traipsing through the house all day.

This man should be jailed, lose his license, fined, barred from doing business and forced to return all the hard earned hundreds of thousands of dollars to my parents that he overcharged them. He has caused more stress, drama and conflict in our life than anything ever has. Joe Brogan should be ashamed of himself, he gives contractors everywhere a terrible name.
