Bankrupt warning Priest 2015

Priest bankruptcy!! Arwin D. Priest, a Seattle and Denver-based licensed professional engineer in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing for residential, high-density and commercial properties, filed his Petition for bankruptcy protection in US Bankruptcy Court in Denver, Colorado, on January 30, 2015 in case number 15-10828-SBB. It is unknown what effect this will have (if any) on his two engineering companies, Priest Engineering, Inc. and PE, Inc. (located at Greenwood Executive Park, 6484 S. Quebec St., Bldg 3, Centennial, CO 80111) or its customers and employees, or liability insurance policies. Any reader should consult his or her own professional advisor, such as a lawyer or accountant, to determine the effect of Arwin Priest’s bankruptcy on any pending matter. In his bankruptcy petition, Arwin Priest declared that his is insolvent and that his liabilities exceed his assets. Arwin D. Priest, P.E., has experience in the Mechanical and Electrical design of a broad range of projects, in both the United States and foreign countries. Mr. Priest is a Registered Professional Mechanical and Electrical Engineer in Colorado and 42 other states plus Washington, D.C. According to the federal Bankruptcy Court, “Bankruptcy laws help people who can no longer pay their creditors get a fresh start by liquidating assets to pay their debts or by creating a repayment plan. Bankruptcy laws also protect troubled businesses and provide for orderly distributions to business creditors through reorganization or liquidation.” According to the Court’s website, “A chapter 13 debtor [like Arwin Priest] is entitled to a discharge [of all of the debts against him] upon completion of all payments under the chapter 13 plan….” Details can be found at the court records at the Colorado Bankruptcy Court, United States Custom House, 721 19th Street, Room 116, Denver CO 80202-2500 or online. While other methods might be available, the Bankruptcy Court utilizes a system called PACER which has a national index search tool called the “U.S. Party/Case Index”. With a valid PACER account, a person may search for a specific debtor. The results show the party name, case number and jurisdiction in which the case was filed. The report also will allow access to a case's docket. This information is factual and provided for informational purposes.
