I have bought and sold real estate not only in Germany, but also in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming and Minnesota. Have developed land, owned commercial/residential rentals, got stuck with 1031 exchanges, held contract for deeds, hassled with foreclosures, did wraps, chased down mineral rights and ran several businesses including a couple of FBOs. Is there life after real estate? No! But there are businesses, livestock, agriculture, water and mineral rights to go with it! My grandfather was an architect and my grandmother was a real estate broker in Berlin, Germany - so dealing with real estate runs in the family since 1899.
